ItemUAI Case: An uCASE-CL model implementation(OmniaScience (Omnia Publisher SL), 2019-2-1) Battaglia, Nicolás ; Neil, Carlos Gerardo ; Martínez, María Roxana ; De Vincenzi Zemborain, Marcelo EdgardoThe new models of teaching and learning have their focus on technology, especially on issues related to ubiquity. The impact of ICT in education generates new learning opportunities: the mobile or ubiquitous, which open new doors to technological environments that allow students to learn at any time and place, providing, in addition, tools that give the possibility to perform collaborative work and learning. The integration of a ubiquitous virtual teaching and learning environment with collaborative work forms the Ubiquitous Computer Supported Collaborative Learning model. What has been mentioned before allowed us to understand the importance of making a specification of this model that provides the possibility of using a tool for professional use in the Software Engineering during the teaching and learning processes, including the specific activities of evaluation and monitoring of works. These tools, called Computer-Aided Software Engineering, must be an active part of the uCSCL model. This integration, forms the model proposed in our work, called uCASE-CL. A prototype of the implementation of the model was developed, which we have called UAI Case. This solution is a proposal to cover the need to have tools that can be used in the teaching of the SE, and which allow the student to acquire and strengthen the academic learning.

ItemCompetency-based learning in collaborative virtual platforms(International Institute of Innovation and Technology, 2019-7-22) Battaglia, Nicolás ; Neil, Carlos Gerardo ; De Vincenzi Zemborain, Marcelo Edgardo ; Beltramino, Juan PabloEducational entities must face changes which impact directly on the traditional academic model: the ICT´s impact in education and, the advance in the global field of Competency Based Learning (CBL). Transforming the face-to-face courses into virtual ones, requires all the educational nstitutions to face new challenges: getting teachers to become familiar with the CBL model and, together with students, promoting the ability to adapt to change. In this paper, the creation of a face-to-face course using the CBL model is presented and a plan to transform it into a virtual course is proposed.

ItemSoftware Engineering Competence-Based Learning in Collaborative Virtual Environments(V IEEE World Conference Engineering Education, 2021) Battaglia, Nicolás ; Neil, Carlos Gerardo ; De Vincenzi Zemborain, Marcelo EdgardoThe constant change in learning due to new possibilities provided by emerging technologies makes us think about how effective the traditional method of teaching is. Teaching students how to be competent instead of simply giving them content for their formation might change learning, where not only new graduates will know the content of an area of knowledge but will also apply that content into professional tasks that they experimented through their formation. To boost learning with the use of competences, it is important to use tools and applications, such as Computer-Aided Software Engineering tool (CASE, a type of software tool which is primarily used to design applications), that allow learning anywhere and anytime. It is necessary to use an evaluation method adapted to a competence-based learning, allowing students to comprehend and follow each of the competences, for which we recommend the use of rubrics that facilitate evaluation and self-evaluation
